NWOABL Mission Statement
The Northwest Ohio Amateur Baseball League is committed to providing an organization and structure for competitive youth baseball.
Our goal is to provide varying levels of competition to meet the needs and demands of all players and teams. We will provide the opportunity for each individual player to excel and reach his highest level of potential.
The Northwest Ohio Amateur Baseball League, as an entity, has organized an affiliation of youth teams throughout Northwest Oho for league play.
The Northwest Ohio Amateur Baseball League does not organize the teams, select or approve coaches, players or volunteers for any of the teams.
NWOABL strongly encourages Parents and Organizations to conduct due Dilligence in selecting coaches and teams for childs safety.
NWOABL ABUSE & MOLESTATION POLICY
NWOABL does not organize teams, select or approve coaches, players or volunteers for these teams. NWOABL strongly recommends that all parents of youth participants, as well as team officials, thoroughly check into background and character of anyone (coaches, volunteers, or other individuals) that has contact with minor participant or volunteer of their team. It is up to each organization or individual team to handle their own background check information. The NWOABL provides the opportunity for teams to participate in an organized travel league.
NWOABL does not in any way allow or tolerate the abuse of children. If you know or suspect any child abuse you must report it immediately to police and to the league.
REPORTING & RESPONSE POLICY
Knowing of instances of abuse and not reporting them may be grounds for dismissal and may result in legal liability.
The league has the right to immediately suspend the accused party from participation in any NWOABL activity pending the outcome of the investigation.
